Step Up! is an empowering story of courage and determination; the personal journey of an exceptional young man driven to follow his dream. Jacques Poulin-Denis is a dancer with a bright future ahead of him, when in a devastating car crash loses his right foot. Step Up! chronicles the beginning of Jacques’ new life following the accident. We witness his first steps with his prosthetic leg, and walk with him through his challenge to reinvent himself, for the next three years. Jacques beats the odds and passionately returns to dance. At the end of this inspiring film, he experiences a dancer’s dream: performing with Mikhail Baryshnikov at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
